Purpose of the National Docent Symposium Council

The purpose of the National Docent Symposium Council is to provide docent education and the exchange of ideas through a National Docent Symposium, held every two years at host institutions in the United States and Canada. Docents from art museums, natural history museums, science museums, botanical gardens, children's museums, history museums, and historical homes come together at the Symposium to participate in a dialogue about the role and mission of docents.
